We are the leaders and the voice of Canada’s legal profession. An essential ally and advocate for our members, we promote fair justice systems, facilitate effective law reform, uphold equality in the legal profession and are devoted to eliminating discrimination. We are also the premiere provider of quality legal training and information.
The Ontario Bar Association (OBA), a branch of the CBA, represents 17,000 lawyers, judges, notaries, law teachers and law students from across the province.
Federation of Ontario Law Associations (FOLA)
Our members are the 46 local law associations (plus the Toronto Lawyers' Association), found in every judicial district in Ontario. These local law associations collectively represent nearly 12,000 lawyers who are in private practice in firms across Ontario.
The Criminal Lawyers’ Association (CLA) is one of the largest specialty legal organizations in Canada, with more than 1,350 members. We are a voice for criminal justice and civil liberties in Canada. Our advice and perspective is sought by all levels of government and the judiciary on issues relating to legislation and the administration of criminal justice.
Ontario Trial Lawyers Association
We champion and advocate for the rights of those who have suffered injury and loss through the wrongdoing of others. Being a good lawyer means being a professional lawyer.
