Notice to Profession and Public regarding court proceedings – December 17, 2021 UPDATE

Notice to the Profession – Civil Matters in the Superior Court of Justice, Central East Region (Effective January 4, 2021) - Nov 17, 2021 Amendment: probate applications to be filed electronically. March 8, 2021 Amendment: A request for a pre-trial on an action commenced at any location in the CE shall be made to  newmarket.civilpretrial@ontario.ca.

Consolidated Notice to the Profession, Litigants, Accused Persons, Public and the Media Re Expanded Operations of Ontario Superior Court of Justice effective May 19, 2020 - Effective November 8, 2021 Part D(3) (Filings) is renamed (Filings and Court Fee Payments) and is amended to:

  • Replace the requirement to file in paper any materials initially filed by email with requirements to maintain documents.
  • Advise that court fees for email filings (past or future) can be paid immediately by phone or cheque, and in accordance with direction made by or on behalf of a Registrar.

Supplementary Notice to the Profession and Litigants in Civil and Family Matters Regarding the CaseLines Pilot, E-Filing, and Fee Payment (September 2, 2020) Effective November 8, 2021: Section 2 (Electronic Court Filings- Justice Services Online) is amended to:

  • Replace the requirement to file in paper any materials initially filed by email with requirements to maintain documents.
  • Advise that court fees for email filings (past or future) can be paid immediately by phone or cheque, and in accordance with direction made by or on behalf of a Registrar.


Notice to Profession - Divisional Court - Effective November 8, 2021, Part D5 (Filing Documents with the Court and Payment of Fees) is amended to:

  • Replace the requirement to file in paper any materials initially filed by email with requirements to maintain documents.
  • Advise that court fees for email filings (past or future) can be paid immediately by phone or cheque, and in accordance with direction made by or on behalf of the Registrar or a local Registrar of the Divisional Court.
